Sacramento is the capital of the State of California. Sacramento is located about an hour and a half east of San Francisco and is located in the valley of northern California.
The Sacramento weather has mild winters and hot dry summers. The winter season lasts from November 23rd to February 16th. The temperature during the winter average low around 38° F and high of 52° F. The Summer season lasts from June 5th to September 27th with the average high of 92° F and low of 59° F.

• Baseball - The Minor League Baseball (MiLB) Sacramento River Cats. The River Cats are a Triple-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants.
• Basketball - the National Basketball Association (NBA) Sacramento Kings.
Sacramento is also only an hour and a half away form both Oakland and San Francisco, and their many professional sports teams which include the A’s, Giants, Warriors, Raiders and 49ers.
Sacramento is a city that has two rivers the American and Sacramento. There are approximately 1000 miles of waterways around Sacramento, as well as nearby Folsom Lake and Lake Natoma. The Delta and Lake Berryessa are close by also. As one would expect, water sports are at the top of the list for outdoor activities, including boating, salmon and steelhead fishing, river rafting, sailing, windsurfing, and more. Sacramento also has 600 acres of municipal golf courses and more than 120 city parks encompassing over 2,000 acres. Lake Tahoe sits to the east of Sacramento and is about an hour and half away and home to a number of world famous ski areas.
There are also many wineries in the area surrounding Sacramento that are open to the public. The famous Napa wineries are about an hour away to the west. Sacramento also plays host to numerous outdoor festivals and fairs including the Sacramento Jazz Jubilee, the California State Fair, the CA International Marathon, Summerfest, and more.
